My first quality cigar I’ve smoked. My friend, who’s Nicaraguan, told me the best cigars are from Nicaragua (aside from Cuba). Skeptical and blindly, I went out and bought one cigar. I had no idea what I was in for, it being my first cigar to puff on. Like a total noob, I cut the cap with scissors (unevenly) and accidentally inhaled the first drag when lighting it. Goes without saying I coughed a lung out. After getting accustomed to actually puffing and tasting the cigar smoke, I found it to be very spicy tasting. I couldn’t fully enjoy the whole experience as I struggled to get a good puff. The whole time I wished it would drag a bit better, but enjoyed the taste experience. Spicy at the start until midway, then it started to taste creamy and oily with a hint of spiciness to nip the tongue. There were moments of a good pull from the cigar and that was when I tasted the full flavors of it. There were times I was conflicted to either put it down and stop the struggle of the drag versus the awesome full bodied taste. Taste won. 8.5/10
